Mrs. Fields Banana Nut Bread


This is my all time favorite Banana nut + chocolate recipe thanks to Heather Payne. She made me an amazing cookbook, yes made it, for my wedding gift almost 8 years ago. Love you HP!

Mrs. Fields Banana Nut Bread
2 ½ cups flour
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup butter, softened
1 ½ cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups ripe bananas, about 7 medium, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

Combine flour, soda and salt with whisk. In another bowl, combine butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Add eggs, bananas and vanilla and beat until thick. Add flour mixture and nuts, blend until just combined (don’t over mix). Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 325 for 60-70 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
