Peppermint Brownies

My amazingly talented friend Carrie Kinghorn brought these to my door the other night! What an amazing treat! These things take brownies to a different dimension!
Peppermint Brownies

2 packages Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix (for 8x8 pan)
½ c. water
½ c. oil
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips

Frosting:
4 cups powdered sugar
2 sticks butter, room temperature
2-4 Tbsp. milk
8-10 crushed candy canes

Preheat oven to 350. Line 9x13 inch pan with baking foil; grease. Combine brownie mix, oil, water and egg until blended. Add chocolate chips. Spread in pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side comes out clean. Cool. When brownies are completely cooled, remove from pan by lifting the foil.
In a large bowl, mix the powdered sugar, butter, and milk until creamy.
Spread brownies with frosting, then sprinkle with candy cane pieces. Chill for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cut into squares.
EnJOY!
