Momma Shrum's Chicken N' Dumplings

Large pkg. chicken breasts (about 5) bone-in.
1 cup water
2 cups chicken broth
Pkg. mini carrots, 2 cups.
6 celery stalks, cut up.
1 yellow onion, cut up.
1 tsp, salt.
1/4 tsp. pepper.
1/2 Tbsp. minced fresh garlic

Cover and cook all ingredients in a large pan. (Heavier is better). Simmer approx 15-20 min. or until veggies tender and chicken cooked through. Remove chicken and cut up. Remove bones and skin. Add chicken back to pan and continue to simmer.

Dumplings:
2 cups bisquick
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 beaten egg.
1/2 cup canned milk (evap.)

Mix all ingredients together stirring with a large fork until combined. Add a little more milk if needed.
Drop a Tbsp. of dough onto the HOT chicken mixture above. Cover while boiling approx. 10min. or until biscuits are cooked through.Remove from heat. Note: The stew may seem really watery but the buiscuits will soak a lot of that up so dont be temped to drain it!
