My most amazing friend Ruth May gave me some killer recipe's that Ive been dying to share! Here is one of them! So easy to make and soooo fun to eat! *You do not have to add Ruth's hot salt in this but it does make it sooooo tasty!
Ruth’s Alfredo Sauce
½ cup butter (not margarine)
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup flour
4 cups half and half
2 cups whipping cream
2 (6oz) jars fresh parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
*1 tsp Ruth's Hot Salt (see recipe below)
Melt butter in pan and sauté garlic for minute. Add flour and heat to bubbling, 1-2 minutes. Then add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Serve over favorite pasta or fettuccini noodles. EnJOY!
*Ruth's Hot Salt
1/2 cup Table salt
1/2 cup california or lowreys garlic salt
1/2 cup garlic, granulated
1/4 cup cayenne pepper*
1/4 cup cumin
1/2 cup onion salt
1/4 cup Knorr tomate (tomato bullion)
1/4 cup paprika
1/4 cup McCormick Rst'd garlic and red bell pepper
2 Tblsp McCormick hot shot black and red pepper blend
*Note: 1/2 cup ground ancho chilis can be substituted. Grind "McCormick Roasted garlic and red bell pepper and McCormick hot shot black and red pepper blend, fine in a coffee grinder. Combine all ingredients and put in a shaker.
