Home Made Caramels
1 c. Butter
2 1/4 c. Packed brown sugar
1 (14 oz) Can sweetened condensed milk
1 Dash salt
1 c. Light corn syrup
1 t. Vanilla
sea salt to taste

Grease a 9x9 inch pan. Melt the butter in a large heavy-bottomed saucepan on medium heat. Add sugar and salt and blend in corn syrup and milk, stirring constantly. Cook to 245 degrees. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and pour into pan. Sprinkle sea salt over top lightly. Let cool completely, cut into squares and wrap in wax paper. EnJOY!
