Lasagna


This is a killer lasagna recipe from my friend Amy Bell! I acutally used whole wheat lasagna pasta and I laid it all out as a lasagna instead of rolling it, I didnt have enouph time.
Tip: Easy recipe, the only thing you have to be careful with is lasagna noodles! follow the package directions or you will have super gummy pasta! Make sure and boil the water before you put in the pasta and do not over cook.

Lasagna

Filling
1 lb. cottage cheese
½ c creamed butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
4 T chives (opt.)
salt/pepper to taste
1 package lasagna noodles, cooked (about 14 noodles)
1 c grated mozzarella cheese
Sauce1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
2 lg cans diced tomatoes
1-2 T tomato paste
1 package spaghetti seasoning mix
(you can also add diced onion, peppers, etc. to the sauce if you want)
1. Mix all filling ingredients (except noodles and mozzarella) until well blended. Lay out cooked noodles on flat surface.
Place about 1 T filling on each noodle and roll up tightly. Place in 9x13 pan.
2. Mix sauce ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Pour over filled noodles. Top with grated mozzarella cheese (you can also sprinkle with parmesan cheese) and bake 20-30 minutes at 350°
