Johnson's Glazed Ham and Brined and "Bacon"ed Turkey

We love ham for the holidays! This recipe rocks! I have never liked turkey until I had Beth and Steve's Turkey with bacon and butter! I mean, how can you go wrong with that?!
Johnson’s Brown Sugar glazed Ham:

1 Spiral Sliced Ham

Basting Liquid:

½ Cup OJ
½ Cup Peach Nectar
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Mustard Powder
3 Chipotle Pepper with 1 Tsp Adobo sauce

Blend until smooth in a blender and then baste over the Ham prior to and every 30 minutes during the cooking process. Bake at 375 for an 1 ½ hours.

Glaze:
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Honey
Water to mix

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and glaze over the Ham for its final 5 minutes of cooking.

Johnson’s Brined and “Bacon”ed Turkey

1 Turkey (cleaned)

Brine:
4 Cups Water
2 Cups Salt
2 Tbl Garlic
1 Tbl Smoked Paprika
1 Onion or 2 Tbl Onion Powder
1 Tbl Crushed Red Pepper Flake

Heat ingredients over the stove until you smell the spices. Cool with Ice and soak the turkey in the cooled brine for 24 hours. DO NOT PUT THE TURKEY IN THE BRINE WHILE WARM IT WILL MAKE YOU SICK!

Rub Turkey with favorite rub, place one sliced peach in the cavity and wrap the breast and legs with thick cut bacon. Bake at 325 for 4 hours or until internal temp reaches 165. Baste the bird with pan juices and or melted butter every 30 Mins. Remove bacon once it gets overly crisp. Let rest for 15 minutes and slice it up.
EnJOY!
