Blackberry Crisp

Black Berry Crisp
This is my fav fruit crisp recipe. I use to go to a nearby park in northern california, just down the road from my childhood home, and pick blackberries with friends. We would carry the fresh berries home then make this recipe right away. Yum!

Fruit mixture:
6 cups black berries, sliced apples, peaches, nectarines, pears, plums and or apricots.
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp water
1 tsp lemon juice

topping: (you can always double the topping if your a big topping type of person like me)
1 cup rolled oats
¾ cup all purpose flour
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup butter, softened

Heat oven to 375. Place fruit in ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, water and lemon juice.
In large bowl, combine all topping ingredients. With fork, mix until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over fruit.
Bake at 375 for 25-35 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream, ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
EnJOY!
