Carrie's Creamy Caramel Sauce and Banana's Foster
Ok Carrie Kinghorn, your now a super hero! Thank you for sharing this recipe and making my husband fall in love with me all over again tonight! I tried making a home made caramel sauce a few months ago and failed miserably! This caramel sauce came out perfect the first time! So rich and creamy! Perfect over banana's foster!
Carrie’s Creamy Caramel Sauce
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1/8 tsp salt
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 oz cream cheese (1/2 block) room temp
½ cup sour cream
Bring sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt and milk to boil. Boil for 5 minutes or until 228degrees. Let cool a little, keep on low, then add cream cheese and sour cream and mix well. EnJOY!
I love banana's foster and think it should stay simple! There is nothing to this recipe and its so rich and warm and gooey! Perfect!
Joy's Banana's Foster
5 bananas
1/2 cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 400. Slice bananas and place in baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar over top and gently stir. Bake for 5-8 minutes or until bananas are hot and brown sugar has melted. Immediatly serve over ice cream and drizzle caramel sauce on top!
EnJOY!
